As a pediatric occupational therapist and a parent, I have learned a lot about the nuances of child development and the art of parenting. I have met many children that are performing to the best of their abilities but still fall short of their life's expectations and parents who likewise are performing to the best of their abilities but are falling short of their own expectations. My personal belief system is based on the idea that children are unique individuals on their own journey through life and that a parent or guardian is with them on that journey as a guide for support and learning along the way. This perspective allows us to see you both, parent and child, as individuals with your own preferences and needs. With this better understanding I am able to work on developing a plan to help you and your child find balance. 

Dr. Liz Abadiotakis is an occupational therapist specializing in pediatrics for 20 years. After establishing her foundational skills in multiple pediatric settings, she went on to be the owner and director of a New Jersey based pediatric clinic, The Interactive Playground and Wellness Center.  During this time Dr. Liz found that her most valued time was spent supporting and educating parents. As a parent of 2 young children herself, she sought balance in her own role of motherhood and moved on from the clinic to further her education and experience. Dr. Liz immersed herself in a research study that focused on the needs of parents in attaining quality parenting information and resulted in the development of the parentingannex.com. Her passion is providing education and consultation to support parents on their personal journey through life with their unique child.
